Mitchelstown Credit Union has provided a Budget Accounts Scheme to its members for many years now. The Scheme has been very successful and the members who avail of this facility find it to be a very useful and worthwhile service.

How does it work?

Through this service you can arrange to provide for payment of the usual household bills e.g. mortgage, ESB, home insurance, car tax, car insurance, car repairs, telephone, fuel, holidays, Christmas, etc.
You estimate your total annual outlay on the items you want covered. Then divide the total by 50 and this gives the amount you will have to pay each week. (If paid monthly, divide by 11.5)

• Your bills are paid in full, and on time.
• You are saved surcharges on late payments.
• No more “reminders” or “final notices”.
• Your good credit rating is protected.
• Money is often saved by paying annually such items as insurance premiums.
• We will do the bookkeeping for you.
